Counselling will provide you with an opportunity to meet with an experienced therapist to jointly explore your concerns and interests and to collaboratively find ways of responding or addressing them. Our work values confidentiality, respect, collaboration and creating a welcoming and comfortable space to address what is important to you. We provide counselling for people of all ages and meet with individuals, families, and people in relationships.
Each year we provide a range of different training options for people interested in the ideas and practices of narrative therapy. This can include workshops by local and visiting international therapists and trainers. Each of the different training options has a focus on learning particular skills and how they have been developed. Workshops and presentations can be developed to address the specific areas of interest of a team or organisation.
Supervision involves working in collaboration with other practitioners in ways that are not only sustaining and enriching of the lives of those people who consult them but also of our own work and life more generally. Individual and group supervision are available at our consulting space in North Melbourne or at your work site.
We are interested in community projects as a way of bringing people together to find collective ways to respond to difficulty, distress and hard times. This approach encourages collaboration and shared learning as well as being an antidote to isolation and disconnection.
For practitioners interested in how narrative therapy can assist their day to day work with individuals, families, groups and communities, we have created different learning spaces to support their theoretical and skill development as well as to reflect on the challenges, dilemmas and possibilities of the conversations they participate in with people consulting them. This includes our narrative therapy online forums as a space to post questions, exchange ideas and connect with other practitioners.
