As part of our commitment to supporting people in the work they do, a significant part of the work we are involved in at Clifton Centre focuses on providing professional supervision for individuals and groups. Supervision is currently provided for community health teams, youth workers, social workers and psychologists working in schools, hospitals, non government agencies, drug and alcohol services and a variety of other work environments including private practice. The people we meet bring a diverse range of life and work experience to supervision. This includes new graduates, case managers, counsellors, team leaders and managers.
Predominately our work is as external supervisors meeting with individuals or small groups. Supervision is offered at our office in Seddon or on site as requested by an organisation or agency. Supervision is also available via Skype.
Although many of the people who consult us for supervision are interested in narrative therapy, it is not necessary that you share this interest.
Supervision can support:
* the development of a reflective practice
* explorations of dilemmas
*reinvigoration of professional identity
* engagement of skills and knowledge in ways that enrich and sustain your experience of the work you do and the experience of the people consulting you.
A number of the people we meet with for supervision are interested in how we can respond to aspects of their work and life in manner that fits with how they choose to work with others.
The current fee for a supervision session (approximately one hour) is $120.00.
For cancellations less than 24hrs the full fee for supervision still applies.
